Recently, reports surfaced that Mariah Carey would be joining the cast of Empire. As if starring alongside the star-studded cast wasn’t enough, the R&B diva will also be fresh contributing music to the FOX series, and it she’s already off to a good start. Jussie Smollett, who plays “Jamal Lyon,” had the opportunity to get in the studio with Carey to construct one of the more standout records to come from the show. Last week (Sept. 28), Carey debuted her new collaborative effort with Smollett titled “Infamous” via Entertainment Weekly. Along with the single, the newest addition to the cast also dropped a sneak peak of what to expect from her role on the show. In the clip, Carey and “Jamal” are in the studio when it appears that the middle Lyon child might pull another “flame out” after sounding sick during their recording session.
